1. People you love

You may be setting the table for fewer people this year, but that shouldn’t be a dealbreaker!

Enjoy the company of those that you do get to be together with and simply include those whose company you can’t enjoy on-site via a video call! The times they’re a-changing but rethink the traditions a little and you can still share the love and laughter no matter the distance.

2. Healthy Christmas dinner

Let’s face it: we are not at our fittest right now. Walks to the fridge seem to be way more frequent than those in the park. But why not make a resolution to start eating healthy this festive season. Deliciousness can come in the form of butternut squash soup, lemony herb roast chicken or salmon, honey-glazed brussels sprouts and beet and mozzarella salad.

3. Christmas biscuits

They deserve a dedicated spot on the list because… Christmas biscuits. From peanut butter oatmeal chocolate chip biscuits and double-chocolate avocado biscuits to no-bake energy bites and vegan, gluten-free gingerbread men, you can go a bit crazy on these, we promise we won’t tell Santa!

4. Drinks

Alcohol equals weight gain (especially in the stomach area), so try to opt for healthier versions of your go-to festive drinks instead. Uncle Google is bursting at the seams with ideas for dazzling non-alcoholic beverages like cranberry spritz, grapefruit honey ginger soda and even healthy hot chocolate - yes, you heard us right - so be sure to ask him for recipes!

5. Christmas ornaments

Dust off last year’s Christmas ornaments or let your creative juices flow and get DIY-ing! Handmade dinner menus, napkin rings, paper snowflakes and floating candles are just a few ideas you can use for inspiration to prepare something that will make the atmosphere truly magical!

6. Music

There’s got to be music. Whether you think it’s just not the holiday without Mariah and that guy driving home for Christmas, listen to whatever puts you in a good mood and brightens the long, gloomy days.

We know food cravings are the worst, especially during this time of the year, but luckily there’s a way to reduce your calorie intake without cutting your portions. FatEliminator EXTREME’s brand-new formula binds to up to 28% of the fats you eat, forming a gel that can’t be digested or absorbed by the body. Having no use for it, the body flushes it out instead.
